Mandatory Action! Contact the Southern Jackson County Fire Department prior to burning to notify the on-duty crew, and also to confirm that the current weather conditions are acceptable for burning to take place. Although burn permits are no longer required at this time, you still need to contact Southern Jackson County Fire District if you plan to burn.
Conditions Acceptable for Burning:
A permit is required for all controlled burns in the district. Burns are regulated by Missouri Department of Natural Resources as well as SJCFD. All controlled burns must be inspected before a permit will be issued.
